Liverpool have turned down an £11.8 million offer from Marseille for midfielder Wataru Endo.
The Japan international, 31, joined Liverpool from Stuttgart last August for approximately £16.2 million on a four-year contract. Endo made 43 appearances in his debut season, including 20 starts in the Premier League, and helped Liverpool win the League Cup.
Marseille, managed by Roberto de Zerbi—who faced Endo while in charge at Brighton last season has shown interest in the player. Liverpool is also aware of interest from other German clubs.
So far, Liverpool has not made any new signings this summer following the appointment of manager Arne Slot.
